Dear Students and Parents:
How quickly the Holiday Season Comes! It seems like school just started and here we are entering the Holiday Season! The kids at Reed have been musically engaged in SO many ways this year. I keep hearing that you are hearing many of the songs and even some kids are writing the music they have heard in music class. I LOVE to hear those stories! Thanks for keeping me informed! Our next BIG musical event will not take place until February 3, 2010: Our Annual Winter Concert. But already the excitement is building roach to music education. We have decided to make this Winter Concert an special celebration of 40 years of Beatles music! All the classes will be singing a Beatles song for the concert! The concerts (there will be 2, as not all the classes and their parents can fit in our Multi-Purpose Room [MPR] at the same time) will be at 8:30 AND at 10:30 on Wednesday, February 3. HERE IS A LINK that will tell you when your child's concert will be AND what song they will sing AND a link to a page with the words and an accompaniment to the song that you can use to help your child learn the song for the concert! At the bottom of the CONCERT PAGE will be another link taking you to online sites where you can find Holiday songs to sing at home as well! HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY SEASON!!! Musically yours, Kit Eakle |
